A New Cycle
Starting fresh in a 1 year, under the bold rhythm of the Fire Horse

2025: A Year of Fire and Letting Go
In Los Angeles, where I live, the year quite literally began with fire. The January wildfires in Altadena, the Palisades, Topanga, and Malibu left devastation in their wake. Many of my friends lost their homes and businesses.
In the face of this destruction, people showed up. Food, clothing, shelter—help came from all corners. I’m not a volume clothing brand, so I didn’t have shelves of stock to donate. But I did offer what I had: original samples from my archive, made with intention, made with love.
People in crisis deserve things that carry care.
One of the most unexpected moments came when a film director—whose home was lost in the Altadena fires—needed emergency alterations. Days after the fire, she was headed to Canada to direct a film. She had nothing left, but still had to show up for her work. It was a small thing for me to do, but it mattered.
