"There is some magical rainbow 🌈 light in the studio” our photographer Jenn remarked as we arrived for our “honeymoon getaway” themed shoot.
I always have a “run of show” plan for any shoot, big or small. This time this beautiful light changed the flow and the opening shots were centered around capturing the light before it disappeared. 🌱 Nature always has a way of providing magic!
What we didn’t know at the time of this shoot was that our model Emma’s boyfriend was planning a surprise proposal. 💍 Did the rainbow light and the honeymoon theme play a magical part? Maybe..
Emma is wearing a one of a kind sequin and bomber jacket over the Britt bodysuit and boy shorts in the above look.
I love to weave a story of transformation or travel into my editorial shoots.
This one is centered around dressing for a honeymoon, beginning here with the wedding dress, the rhinestone and pearl Rosette caged bustier
with sheer panels and ribbon florets worn with the high/low hemline Flora skirt in ribbon embellished English net.
We love a 2 piece bridal look for its ease and versatility. The Rosette bustier can easily be worn for a special occasion look with high-waist trousers from our Sustainable Basics collection, and the skirt looks fabulous with the Lacy t-shirt in cotton and Chantilly lace for a relaxed, apres-wedding or romantic day-to-evening look.
Our honeymooners are heading to a beach location, so relaxed, feminine looks that transition from day to evening are a must-have.
Our kimono robes in printed silk chiffon are an easy choice for a getting-ready robe, lounging robe or beach coverup. The Dali print kimono is pictured above with the retro sequin brief in pink.
We love the versatility, comfort and ease of kimono robes and especially love this day-to evening look.
The Marion mini metallic silk chiffon slipdress is the perfect dress to wear to dance the night away, topped with the floral beaded kimono for when you step off the dance floor, and accessorized with the Sasha tote in upcycled metallic leather.
A twirling dance party is a more than effective pick-me-up, and we’re hearing that there is a kitchy retro disco ball revival underway. Let’s dance!
The rose 🌹 gold cropped sequin bomber takes a relaxed loungewear inspired look and transforms it into eco glam evening. We love our silk charmeuse dhoti pant over the Britt bodysuit, accessorized with a beaded belt from our wedding and special occasion collection.
Easy basic pieces are perfect for a getaway and allow you to get dressed up without being fussy.
Whether you're head over heels or perfectly balanced, bodysuits are an ultimate solution to a variety of looks, basic or elevated.
Also known by the name “leotard”, created in the 19th century by its French acrobat namesake Jules Léotard and adopted by dancers of all genres. We love them alone, accessorized with a beaded belt (it's a vacation, after all so have some fun) or layered with under our crochet Lydia leggings.
Modern and versatile, silver is the coolest of all metallics and a notable color trend that transcends seasons. Emma is wearing the Britt bodysuit in silver with an iridescent sequin trimmed retro brief, accessorized with our Sasha tote in silver.
Covered in prism light, our minimalist more-than-just-a-party-skirt in iridescent white sequin is a upleveled example of versatility. This sequin skirt is a variation on our basic bias skirt and is limited edition. Paired with the Britt bodysuit for a minimalist and modern daytime into evening look.
We rescue retired military parachutes and upcycle them into skirts, jackets, dresses, and more in our Parachute Collection. The fabric itself is quite magical and allows a human (sometimes a dog and a human) to jump out of an aircraft and land safely on the ground.
Emma is wearing the drawstring Amy Skirt, a multi-sized variation of our uber-popular Amelia Skirt with the Anna Bodysuit and Elinor Flutter Front Jacket.
This multi-sized, lighter-than air skirt is a great travel piece, is wrinkle resistant and quick to dry if you find yourself splashed by waves on a sunset beach stroll. Wear it tied at the waistline or drop it low. Whatever your mood, the Amy skirt is both versatile and dramatic.
A functional yet glamorous wardrobe makes this eco-glam honeymoon vacation getaway even more memorable.
