A Letter from the Edge of Form
Some things arrive without asking.
A color. A design. A line of thought. A crow on the fencepost.
When people ask how I create, I say: “I don’t.”
Not first, anyway.
What Comes Out of the Blue
My creative life doesn’t begin with fabric.
It begins with something unseen—a flash, a whisper, a tone.
It arrives like weather: sometimes unexpected, a glimse of what is to come.
What I’ve learned to do is catch it… first in my mind, then in my heart where I nourish it, develop it, and give it love.
And then—stitch it into form.
That’s how my clothing is made.
That’s how my words come, too.
