Can You Make a Gown Out of Candy Wrappers?
Breast Cancer Awareness Month, 2007: A gown crafted from Think Products nutrition bar wrappers takes center stage at the Susan G. Komen runway show.
The Ask-
More specifically: would I create a custom gown for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation fashion show—made entirely out of Think Products nutrition bar wrappers?
But let’s be clear: they didn’t send me discarded packaging.
They pulled fresh, uncut spools straight from their production line.
Pink and green on the outside, with a reflective silver foil interior.
Crackling, sculptural, candy-wrapper couture.
The pink—was a nod to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The green balanced it perfectly: a complimentary color harmony, and a symbol of renewal.
